08:00 · The Colonial
Slow morning, flat white.
Breakfast on the terrace. Pastries still warm, the kind of egg plate you take twenty minutes over. Tide’s coming in.
11:00 · The sand
Surf lesson, if you fancy
Tolcarne’s a gentle break, perfect for first-timers. Boards and wetsuits sorted down on the beach — two hours, you’ll be standing up.
13:30 · Hut 6
Your hut. Your lunch
Kettle on, cool box open. Sandwiches that taste better because there’s sand in them. Kids in and out of the water. Dog asleep on a towel.
17:00 · The terrace
Cocktails before supper
The low sun lights up the water like it’s been set on fire. Someone orders a negroni. The order gets repeated.
21:30 · Beach bonfire
Fire pit, stars, no bedtime
Wander barefoot back through the village. Glass of wine by the fire. No phones. No rush. The tide whispering in the dark.
